Free Fire returns to India as localised game after 2022 ban

More than four years after India banned it over security concerns, Garena has launched Free Fire India on Android and iOS. The localised version includes India-specific content, parental controls, playtime limits and spending caps, with user data stored on Indian servers. Free Fire was banned in February 2022 with 53 other apps; its planned 2023 relaunch had been postponed.
