PM Modi opens Arvind Ltd's ₹150-crore textile plant in Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated Ahmedabad-based Arvind Limited's first manufacturing plant in Khochwan, Mirzamurad, in Varanasi. Built for about ₹150 crore over 7-8 acres, the unit is expected to create thousands of jobs, with priority for local women; over 300 have been recruited for training. Modi interacted with the workers and viewed an exhibition of fabrics.
