MP's Sidhi district gets its first rail link since Independence
Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi district is now on India's railway map for the first time since Independence. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav opened two new sections, Satna-Devendra Nagar and Rewa-Churhat, covering 118 km, and flagged off a Devendra Nagar-Churhat train. The hilly Rewa-Churhat route includes a 3.33-km tunnel and could later carry cement and minerals.
