BJP demands probe into death of mother and unborn baby in Gurez

The BJP has sought an impartial inquiry into the death of 30-year-old Haseena Begum and her unborn baby in north Kashmir's Gurez valley on October 14, blamed on a lack of maternity care. The party targeted the ruling National Conference for failing to post a permanent gynaecologist in the valley, a tourist destination that is cut off by snow in winter.
