Artemis I data shows Moon radiation is higher, but less than expected
Detectors aboard NASA's uncrewed Artemis I mission show cosmic radiation near the Moon is higher than in low Earth orbit, though not by as much as scientists expected. Orion carried over 10,000 tiny crystals inside two human-shaped mannequins, including lithium fluoride detectors from Poland's Institute of Nuclear Physics. The findings were published in Radiation Measurements.
