UP poll office apologises for tone of its social media posts

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer's office apologised for the tone of its social media replies after a row over a voter list error where 'Ramhit Yadav' was rendered as 'Ram ne Yadav ko Maara'. AAP MP Sanjay Singh had questioned the CEC over the entry. The office blamed transliteration software that read the name as a sentence.
