Why your hotel's location can make or break a holiday

Travellers often focus on ratings, food and itineraries but overlook where their hotel is, says Animesh Kumar, commercial head of Ibis and Ibis Styles India. A hotel that seems close to an attraction may be a long drive away in peak traffic, eating into a short two- or three-day break. Checking the location against planned sights helps avoid tiring journeys.
