Stan Wawrinka bows out of tennis after emotional defeat in Basel

Three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka has ended his professional career after a 7-5, 7-6 defeat to Czech player Jiri Lehecka in front of home fans in Basel. The 41-year-old Swiss former world number three played 985 matches over 23 years. Wawrinka said he always wanted to give everything, fight hard and finish with no regrets.
