Astronomers spot possible first moon outside our Solar System
Using ESO's Very Large Telescope, astronomers have found evidence of a huge moon-like object in the young CD-35 2722 system. Unusually, it orbits a brown dwarf, which in turn circles a star about half the Sun's mass. If confirmed, it would be the first natural satellite found beyond our Solar System, according to the Nature study led by Kevin Hoy.
