Applebee's app leaked database password exposing customer data

Applebee's has fixed a flaw that let anyone access registered customers' personal information after a researcher found an internal database password hardcoded in its Android app, which has over a million downloads. UK-based researcher Robert Wiggins of What Security used AI to find the credential in thousands of lines of code. The chain confirmed it acted to block unauthorised access.
