SSB chief Sanjay Singhal gets additional charge of ITBP

The Union Home Ministry has handed additional charge of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police to Sanjay Singhal, who heads the Sashastra Seema Bal, from October 31. That is the day current ITBP Director General Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor retires, with no regular successor announced yet. The ITBP guards India's 3,488-km border with China.
