Ford denies report that Escape will return as an electric SUV

A Ford Authority report claimed the discontinued Ford Escape would return as an electric crossover on Ford's new Universal EV platform, which debuts with the Fathom pickup in 2027. Ford's website says the Escape is only 'taking a breather'. However, a Ford spokesperson told Electrek the report is pure speculation and no such plan has been announced.
