Manipur names 11 nodal officers for 2027 Assembly elections

Manipur's Chief Electoral Officer has appointed 11 nodal officers to oversee next year's Assembly elections, covering security, expenditure monitoring, transport and cybersecurity. IPS officer Kamei Angam Romanus will handle law and order. An Election Commission team recently reviewed preparedness across the state's 16 districts. The current Assembly's term ends on March 13, 2027.
