IIT Bombay sets up panels to strengthen SC-ST cell after student's death

IIT Bombay has formed a review committee to make its SC-ST cell more effective, following a student's alleged suicide on campus on September 18 that sparked protests. A second panel will recommend ways to improve hostel life and student mental health support. Protesting students had sought more powers for the cell to handle complaints and greater student representation in it.
