UK Budget pledges £20m to turn Liverpool's Littlewoods building into film studios

The UK government has pledged £20m to help convert Liverpool's derelict Littlewoods building into a film and TV production campus, subject to final business case approval. The 260,000 sq ft site would host film, television, gaming and digital screen work. The long-delayed project has been discussed since 2017, and Mayor Steve Rotheram had earlier sought £50m.
