EU presses UK to guarantee lower tuition fees for European students

The EU wants a firmer commitment from Britain that European students will pay discounted university tuition fees, ahead of a much-anticipated summit this month. At a meeting of senior EU diplomats, at least six member states demanded a clear pledge, with some members saying failure to agree should delay a prized food and drink deal with the UK.
