Global warming has nearly doubled in pace since 2015, study says
A Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research study in Geophysical Research Letters finds global warming has accelerated since about 2015 to roughly 0.35°C per decade, nearly double the just-under-0.2°C rate seen from 1970 to 2015. After filtering out natural fluctuations, researchers report over 98% statistical confidence, calling it the fastest warming since records began in 1880.
