BMC asks Mumbai, Thane, Bhiwandi residents to boil water for a week

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has advised residents in parts of Mumbai, Thane and Bhiwandi to boil and filter drinking water for seven days. The warning follows the recommissioning of a repaired compartment of the Yewai Master Balancing Reservoir at the Pise-Panjrapur complex on October 28, which the civic body said could temporarily affect water quality.
