10-metre Jurassic ichthyosaur goes on show in Dorset

A nearly 10-metre ichthyosaur found by Belgian fossil hunters on a secluded beach near Bridport, Dorset, is now on display at Bridport Museum. University of Bristol researchers estimate the marine reptile lived about 174 million years ago. It is the first ichthyosaur recorded from the Bridport Sand Formation. The exhibition runs until April 2027.
