Sensex falls 536 points, Nifty slips below 22,500 in early trade ahead of Fed decision

Indian equity benchmarks opened lower on Monday as elevated crude oil prices, geopolitical uncertainty and caution ahead of the US Federal Reserve's policy decision this week weighed on sentiment. The BSE Sensex dropped 536.30 points to 72,583.86, while the NSE Nifty fell 200.10 points to 22,402.80. Kotak, Sun Pharma and Adani Ports were among the gainers.
