Ford Fathom to be cheapest US EV able to power a home
Ford has announced two new chargers that will let its upcoming Fathom electric pickup supply power to a home or the grid, known as V2X. The chargers cost about half as much as Ford's existing equivalents. The Fathom will start at $28,350 and deliver over 10 kW to a home, enough to stand in for a small standby generator.
