Most UK levelling up projects still unfinished, data shows

Years after funding was allocated, 821 of 1,347 UK levelling up projects were still unfinished as of May, according to freedom of information data reviewed by the Guardian. Seventy-three council areas with accepted bids had yet to see a single project fully completed, underlining how Conservative promises of quick progress on regional equality have stalled.
