Mizoram to hire 100 regular primary teachers, plans MTET changes

Mizoram plans to recruit 100 regular primary teachers in 2026 to strengthen elementary education and improve student learning outcomes. Education Minister Vanlalthlana also outlined proposed changes to the Mizoram Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) aimed at helping in-service teachers qualify.
