Heat director Michael Mann suffers minor injury in gun range accident

Filmmaker Michael Mann, 83, was treated in hospital after a holstered weapon accidentally discharged at Range LA in Los Angeles on October 31. He suffered a superficial injury, was taken to hospital in stable condition, treated and released. Police confirmed the shooting was accidental. Mann, an experienced target shooter, is known for films such as Heat, Thief and Collateral.
