Meta staff discussed 'whisper strategy' to discredit critic Jonathan Haidt

Court documents filed in the US show Meta employees discussed ways to "get the academic community to disavow" social psychologist Jonathan Haidt, author of The Anxious Generation. Meeting minutes titled "Well-being Meeting Sound-check Notes" refer to turning other academics against him through a "whisper strategy". Haidt's work has fuelled tougher online safety measures, including Australia's under-16 social media ban.
