India thrash Bangladesh 13-0 in Asian Champions Trophy opener

India crushed Bangladesh 13-0 in their Asian Champions Trophy hockey opener in Jalandhar, the city's first international hockey event. Mandeep Singh scored three goals and set up three more, while captain Harmanpreet Singh struck twice from penalty corners. India led by six at half-time. Midfielder Nilakanta Sharma, also on the scoresheet, announced he will retire after the tournament.
